Leon Ellis
Leon has been playing and writing since the age of nine. He spent countless hours playing drums, his first love, going on to enjoy high school band and forming groups with his fellow musicians. He began his career as a session musician, sought for his drumming talents, at the age of 15. He played with a steady core group of musicians through high school, where rock n roll was the gateway to personal expression.
Nine years later, after a life on and off the road, he retired as a session musician at the age of 24.
He removed himself as a musician into seclusion, however continued to engineer, write and record for the next two decades.
During that period he wrote/co-wrote many songs, mostly under a pseudonym,
out of a desire to remain out of the public eye.
In 2005 he surrounded himself by like-minded studio musicians, forming abandcalledrocketsurgery,
recording their debut album "Sixth Senses".
Since then he has co-written five subsequent albums as singer-songwriter Timothy Carman.
